Considering that Jared Jeffries leaves to New York, how will the starting lineup look like? G: Gilbert Arenas G: Caron Butler F: Antawn Jamison F: Darius Songalia C: Brendan Haywood With this lineup, it will put Antawn Jamison in his natural spot at small forward and it won't give him the tougher role of guarding the bigger men. Moving Caron Butler down to small guard will probably be for the best because having Antonio Daniels and Arenas in the same starting line-up is just like having Stephon Marbury and Steve Francis in the same lineup. Besides, Antonio Daniels has been playing off the bench most of his career and he lights it up for the Wizards off the bench. I thought of Jarvis Hayes starting at the 2, but I figured how shouldn't play a lot of minutes with how injured proned he is and bringing in DeShawn Stevenson would be best for us. Putting Darius Songaila in the starting line-up would be a good decision and for him to show that's ready. I think having Oleksiy Pecherov off to Europe for another year would be best for him, since we don't need him right away. We still have Brendan Haywood, Etan Thomas and Michael Ruffin who are still young and already proved themselves on the Wizards roster. What do you guys think the starting line-up should be?
Where's our bench? Hopefully Hayes is healthy, then the bench can be decent with: Antonio Daniels Jarvis Hayes Etan Thomas Andray Blatche If we can get Deshawn Stevenson too, then he could either start at SG, or help further solidify the bench. The bench was a HUGE problem last season. I do think we need a shooter off the bench though. Hayes can shoot, but I don't consider him a shooter.
By season's start, I hope our lineup is: PG: Arenas SG: Caron SF: Jamison PF: Songaila C: Haywood Bench: Blatche, Daniels, Stevenson, Hayes, and Thomas.
