This is exactly how the Lakers should have played against Phoenix. The Spurs have been physical in every game with the Phoenix guards. They've knocked Leandro Barbosa on his butt everytime he's tried to get to the rim. Leandro has been rattled the entire series as a result and isn't nearly as agressive when he gets the ball. I don't like some of the dirty, cheap fouls the Spurs have used, but they know how to give out good hard fouls and not allow Phoenix to get easy layups. They have really forced Phoenix to work on offense and have taken the Suns out of their rhythm. I know Phoenix ended up tying the series, but the Spurs aren't going to allow a 12 to 1 collapse to close out a game very often.
For some reason, I'm actually starting to hate the Spurs more than I hate the Suns. All I know was that I was rooting for the Suns last night...
I like what the Spurs were trying to do though. If Spurs didn't play rough, this would of been another boring series.
I still rather have the Spurs win. I really loathe the Suns for some reason. Man, back in the day, these fouls would be nothing. Come on, its playoff basketball. I miss the good old 80's and early 90's when hard fouls were just part of the game. I still dont think Horry checked Nash intentionally to hurt him.

I watch alot of hockey, and Nash bounced off Horry like Horry ran up and checked up hard. I don't buy it.
I really dislike the Suns because Nash gets too much credit as an individual, and people ignore the fact that Tim Duncan had the second best On/Off court numbers this year after Dirk. I feel Nash has been getting a bunch of special treatment after seeing how the MVP voting has finished the last three years and it is annoying. The Spurs have gotten some breaks but Game five goes to show you that the Suns need Amare (and not just Nash) to defeat the Spurs. I still respect Nash as a b-ball player though.
Other than the Lakers, the Spurs are my 2nd favorite team in the NBA. All the spurs player are classy, a class act. I love how their coach and players went on to do their business and never trash talk anybody. Even when they win championship, you don't hear them showboating. I'm rooting for the Spurs to win championship. C'com TD, beat the SUNS!

Everybody said Bruce Bowen is a dirty player and blah blah blah. But you know what? A guy like him, every teams would want. He comes out there, do whatever to help his team win, gotta respect that. Do you hear the Spurs ever disrespecting the other team? Nope. That is a class act there. Horry took a shot at Nash, but seriously, this is "man" basketball, there is no love on the court man.

I think what irritates people the most are his reactions after he's been caught and whistled for a foul. It would be more respectable if he just raised his hand and acknowledged, "yeah you caught me." Instead he acts like he's the victim.

Sorry, but I have more respect for Raja Bell than I do for Bruce Bowen
Bruce Bowen is a crafty player, not dirty. He has no intention of hurting anybody. Players are exaggerating because of his playing style. He gets into your brain and frustrates you, not dirty. He lets you know if you want to score, you gotta work for it. Almost every players in this league complains over calls they dont' agree, I don't see Bowen is any different than others. Haha, don't even compare Raja to Bowen man...Kobe knocked Bowen a couple times pretty good but Bowen never lost his cool.
