Would Teixeira's #s be much better if he played all year?

For the money he is making they would have to be, or else he could take Arod's place as the most discussed Yankee on the boards. Remember when Scott bunted against the shift last week, I know he is a power hitter but leading off an inning with the score appropriate, just take the single if its not like 7 inning on.

Teixeira has pretty much already said that he's not going to change his approach.

He's hitting .250 with 12 HR and 44 RBI. As far as counting stats go, tex might have more RBI because he would be foolishly hitting 4th. Other than that Tex gets on base more, but he certainly would not be much better. He would prob have several less clutch hits too. Tex's numbers are as empty as they get.

Overbay though there by circumstances has done a heck of a job for this ball club.

Which is the very reason why I've been saying that unless we can get Kendrys Morales, we should retain Overbay as Teixeira's back up. Besides the price would be right.

I disagree, going into next year, this team needs to Start getting younger and more athletic. Since we have Soriano and he was a major league infielder, get him a glove and have him take grounders in Spring training. Versatility is necessary.

Pay Soriano 10+M or Overbay 2-3M
