He'll be at his lowest price ever, we could get him cheap. He wants out of Portland, and they want him out. We might even be able to get him w/o sacrificing Al. We could give them Raef, some young talent, and a pick or two. I think we need to take advantage of this opportunity.

Idk what you mean by Randolph will be at his lowest price/cheap. Randolph has a contract tell like 2010, lol. He will be making way over 10 million plus each season. But anyway, not a bad idea for Celtics. If the chance comes around, no doubt about it, they should go for him. But if I were Blazers, Raef doesnt sound good enough. You mentioned draft picks, but those arnt promising. You said youth also. But when I think of youth on the Celtics, I think Allen, Jefferson, & West. Not crummy fillers like Green, Greene, & Jones

ha, i'm not talking money wise dude. His stock is at its lowest right now, and we could get him for less. We won't have to give up as much.you think Gerald Green is just a "crummy filler"? what a joke. He has star potential, you know.I came up with this earlier. Still has some work to do on it, I'm not satisfied with it:Boston Receives:Zach RandolphBrian SkinnerBoston Trades:Raef LaFrentzBrian ScalabrineTony AllenDwayne Jones1st rd. pick (CLV)2nd rd. pickWhy? They get an all-star calibur player and a terrific defender, all for a low price.Portland Receives:Jalen RoseMaurice TaylorDwayne JonesBrian Scalabrine1st rd. pick (BOS via CLV)Portland Trades:Zach RandolphBrian SkinnerWHY? 2 expiring contracts, Stephon Marbury is a very talented player. They can now pick LaMarcus Aldridge or Tyrus Thomas, bc now they won't have a logjam at PF.New York Receives:Raef LaFrentzTony AllenTheo Ratliff2nd rd. pick (BOS)New York Trades:Stephon MarburyMaurice TaylorWhy? They get Larry Brown type of players: guys who hustle and play good defense. Also, Marbury's out the door.------------------Line-ups:BOSTONDelonte West/Orien Greene/Dan DickauPaul Pierce/Gerald GreenWally Szczerbiak/Ryan GomesZach Randolph/Al JeffersonKendrick Perkins/Brian SkinnerPORTLANDStephon Marbury/Sebastian Telfair/Steve BlakeJuan Dixon/Martell WebsterTravis Outlaw/(Darius Miles)Viktor Khyrapa/Mo Taylor/Brian ScalabrineRaef LaFrentz/(Aldridge?)NEW YORKSteve Francis/Nate RobinsonJamal Crawford/Tony AllenQyntel Woods/Quentin RichardsonChanning Frye/David LeeEddy Curry/Theo Ratliff

Hmm it is risky, he's shown that he can be a great player in this league but honestly I don't know what happened. Maybe he just caught the Portland disease and he needs to be traded. If we could get him and unload someone like Raef then I would definitely go for it, he has more potential and maybe with a change of scenery he could get his career moving again.

If you get him he could be a problem, and for problem children you need someone strong wiether it be a caoch or GM to lead the team and keep him out of trouble.

Yeah but everyone who goes to Portland has problems, maybe he just needs a new start on a different team.

true he could get changed around in Boston but if he doesn't have the portland disease and he is a headcase that would suck because our roster is very young and bad seeds prolong young players development

Yeah but in Portland it seems like everyone has issues, I don't think one bad player is going to affect our entire team's morale.

And he only played hard in his contract year. He's a bum.

He's not a bum. You can't be a bum and put up the numbers he has. He really needs a change of scenery. Hey, it worked for Ricky.

i'm not giving up on him. They can play together on the court. They are both strong, and Al could guard a Center. They would still be good at rebounding.

So then youre giving up on Perkins? This is a bad move in my opinion..Let Perkins and Jefferson develop together, they are both younger, cheaper players with, in my opinion more potential..I dont see Randolph improving anymore. Sure, he's a solid player, but he would hinder the development of Jefferson and would eat up your cap space..Not to mention his attitude problems that have been brought up, not a good role model for your young guys..

Kendrick Perkins will undoubtedly never develop into a player with Zach Randolph's skill.

guys, there'll be mainly a 3-man rotation in the post. Gomes will get more and more minutes at the 3 with Wally wearing, and Zach, Al, and Perk mainly would share the minutes at the 4 and 5.

You don't need Randolph, he's a negative guy who you don't want around a young team. I just don't understand why you want the overpaid and lazy Randolph when you have Jefferson and Perkins.

The biggest problem I see with this idea is the amount of money his makes..This team is obviously multiple pieces away from being a contender and a Knicks-like move like this could lock up your salary situation for years to come..
