Re: WEC: Brown vs. Faber 2 (Jun. 7th) I can't fucking wait for this card. Me and my friend have been looking for a vacation and there are still tickets available for this, so we might do a cross country trip to Cali, see this, take a week and hang out for a while. Hopefully we actually go, if not, my TV will be just as good. This is probably going to be one of the best WEC cards yet, Brown vs. Faber is gonna be insane, Jose Aldo, Cerrone, Jens, Gamburyan, holy fuck I can't wait for this card.
Re: WEC: Brown vs. Faber 2 (Jun. 7th) Notes on the event: -- WEC Featherweight Champion Mike Brown upset reigning title holder Urijah Faber at WEC 36 in November, snapping Faber's 13-fight winning streak. Hurt early on by strikes, Faber attempted a desperation spinning back elbow but was met with a stiff right hand by Brown that knocked him down and set up a TKO finish. Both fighters won their most recent bouts, with Faber submitting Jens Pulver at UFC 38, and Brown defending his title by submitting Leo Garcia at WEC 39. This fight is being billed as the biggest in WEC history. -- Fast-rising featherweight contender Jose Aldo looks to continue his rampage through the lower tier of the division in a fight against Cub Swanson. "Junior" is 4-0 in the WEC, all by way of knockout. Aldo will likely jump into the top contender slot should he win this bout in similar fashion. Since losing to Jens Pulver at WEC 31, Swanson has won his last two fights. -- Former UFC Lightweight Champion Jens Pulver looks to keep his career going with a win over Josh Grispi at WEC 41. Pulver has suffered embarrassing losses to Leo Garcia and Urijah Faber in his last two outings and has only one win in his last six bouts. The 35-year old Mlietich MMA product was distraught after his latest loss to Faber at WEC 38, where he resisted the notion of retirement but admitted that his talents may not be sufficient anymore. Grispi has won his last eight fights but hasn't competed for nearly a year.

With Frank Mir's new baby imminent, Kenny Florian will be providing colour commentary for this event in his place.
This event is scheduled to be broadcast in Canada on TSN2, but keep your fingers crossed as they've been sketchy in the past.

Great night for sports. Lakers game and this WEC event. Is this is a good match for Cowboy? 155 Lbs. Donald Cerrone vs. James Krause I'm not familiar with Krause at all. Is he a stand up fighter willing to mix it up on his feet?
A lot of the main events ended in under a minute. The Pulver fight and Aldo's fight ended quick! Nice war between Brown & Faber, but Faber didn't really have a chance to win after breaking his right hand in Round 1 and then damaging his left hand later on in the fight. He was forced to throw elbows instead of punches and didn't have the grip to secure a rear naked choke near the end of Round 5. I was REALLY impressed with Anthony Pettis. He's fluid transitioning from submission to submission. I think he's 7-0 now and tonight was his first fight in the big show. Cowboy got a chance to show all his tools in the fight. Round 1 Krause came right after Cerrano, but his pace slowed in Round 2 and Cowboy stalked him and finally ended the fight with a choke. Looks like Aldo will get a title shot against Mike Brown next.
