The fact that these teams are ranked in the national polls honestly makes me sick to my stomach.

UTEP is actually making a really good case for the NCAA tourney; they're 19-5 with wins over Pacific and UAB, who are solid, and 4 of their 5 losses have come against Georgetown, Syracuse, Houston and Texas Tech. Not really that bad, IMO.

UTEP is not really that bad, but top 25? I'm cool with you ranking them, because it's your choice, but 17-6 isn't really that great, is it? They beat UAB and Pacific... not exactly Duke and UConn. Besides, outside of UAB and Pacific, their best wins are Alabam A&M and East Carolina...

If you're looking to rank a C-USA team, why not Houston? They've got a better record at 18-6, they beat UTEP head to head, and they have wins against Arizona and LSU on their resume.

[IMG] Now that you mention it, I may as well rank them instead seeing as they've got a better tourney resume. I just wanted to see if there were other legit CUSA teams if I was gonna rank Memphis top 5 [IMG] [IMG]

Didn't 9-14 Arizona State just beat them? C'mon man... I know they're talented and Powe's a beast, but their nonconference schedule was Charmin soft, and they didn't even do that well with it. They lost to Eastern Michigan (w/o Powe), DePaul, and Kansas, while their best win was against Northeastern. The only reason their record is as good as it is at 16-7 is because the Pac-10 is so weak; they've only played two ranked teams all year.

lost in double OT on their homecourt to a 10-14 team.

they have no business being ranked, IMO

Most of the teams ranked have 1 or 2 losses that make you scratch your head though.
