With the recent ban on intravenous rehydration I was hoping to see less emphasis on weight classes. In recent years guys like Ben Henderson, Donald Cerrone, Frank Edgar, and now Conor McGregor are showing that they aren't so important. Combined with stricter PED testing and some states that want to incorporate double weigh-ins I feel like we are heading towards a time where fighters are coming in at a healthy weight and benefiting from it in the long run.

Chad Laprise and Ross Pearson have mutually decided not to cut weight for their upcoming fight. I'm not exactly sure what the rules are regarding this. I guess they will fight at WW?
