The entire West coast ranges from the 60's (So.Cal) to the 50's here. Meanwhile throughout the entire Mid-West and East Coast are having Summer-esque heat. :MARIS61:
I've read and even talked to one "expert" who said this would happen and that the Pacific Northwest would have the most dramatic change in climate: warm, rainy winters - hot, dry, long summers. For the next 100 years the average temp will rise each decade and the snowpack will be half of what it is today.
La Nina is dying out quickly and this spring is going to be warm and dry for Oregon. Next week we'll start to see this, according to Ch.8. The first official day of Spring there was 3"-4" of snow in some part of the Willamette Valley. The weirdest weather year that I can remember.
I went surfing this weekend in Wrightsville Beach, NC and didn't need a wet suit. I started out with one and after an hour I went "bare back" (cue homo joke). It was still pretty chilly but bearable. I prefer to surf without a wet suit whenever possible. I've never surfed in March without one.
