dis, thats what I was thinking. Nash steps up his game and pretty much everyone else forgets how to score. The story of last 5 years. Same was with gabby.
Two things I've noticed about this team: 1) They're afraid to hit the opposing team. Too many times our players have a chance to lay a hard hit on an opponent, only to attempt a weak poke check and have the opposing player skate past them with the puck and put is at a disadvantage. 2) Our players don't play the puck, they let the puck play them. When the puck is coming around the boards to them, they will wait for the puck to get to them instead of moving to the puck despite an opposing player bearing down on them/the puck, whom then takes the puck away.
And there it is. Another one goal third period loss on home ice. Same old story. The last two games have shown that this team must be sellers and not buyers. See what you can get for Girardi, Cally, Brassard, Boyle, Hags, Pouliot, Stralman. Also John Moore is complete garbage. This guy should be buried in Hartford.
This is why we need to be careful. Playing well, but now drop 2 straight and it hurts. Not saying anything big picture, but we need to be careful acting like this team has turned some corner and is now a big time playoff/SC threat. Possible, but possible we are not. Wide open for us IMO...up or down.
So 10 games of great hockey = nothing, 2 losses = must be sellers and sell half the team? Come on dude. I have not been impressed with Moore either, hopefully the move back to the left helps him out
chuck, it was a tease as always by this team. I was not falling for this streak that they've put together. This game was winnable. Blues barely broke a sweat. The islander loss was a complete joke.
I am not saying that. What I am saying is just be careful. We may be that team that played well until the last two games. Or maybe we are the team that was up and down and lost the last two. Not really sure yet to be honest. We'll see. We don't need to decide today.
He sure did not look great on the left side in this game. I've seen enough of this dope. The guy does nothing well except for skating.
They're in 2nd place for Christ's sake and lost a tough game, the fat lady hasn't even started clearing her throat. Why do Rangers try to slap shot one timers instead of simply deflecting them in? Do they really need to make the shot that much more difficult?
I don't think this team is that far away. Not thinking they are Stanley Cup contenders yet, but with the right moves, you never know. And in my opinion, the right moves need to come on the defensive side. You get a couple of defenders that fit this system, and we could be looking at some good times at the Garden.
