Arsenal & Wenger were unclear on the rules so they repeatedly consulted a UEFA rep before and during their elimination round regarding how much if any contact Wenger could have with the team, including relaying messages through third parties. Apparently the person they dealt with was as unclear on the rules as they were and allowed them to undermine the ban. Sky Sports giddily tattle-tales on Wenger all night despite the fact even they didn't know what the rules were exactly or how they could be bent and broken by "same old Arsenal". Arsenal appealed the additional 2-game ban Wenger was handed following the match but that appeal has been rejected since UEFA are about as likely to admit a mistake as the FA.

Arseblog is curious if UEFA come down hard on Wenger and not worry much about the racist chants in Bulgaria this past weekend. Which issue is the bigger problem for the game?
