NBA Power Rankings, Week 23: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...adds-another-milestone-lakers-continue-falter
I don't think it's that surprising. Say the Blazers end up with 28 wins. That would be the equivalent of 25 wins in a covid season * so last season, 25 wins would have put them in 7th * in 2019-20 they would have been tied for 7th * in 2018-19 they would have been 5th * in 2017-18 they would have been tied for 8th over the previous 8-9 seasons we got use to paying attention to HCA seeding for the playoffs, not lottery seeding. There are always 4-6 truly crappy teams
And only 4-6 contenders each year. Everyone else is below average, average or a bit over average. The NBA is built around playin and playoff hoops.
i'm not talking about wins/losses. i was talking about the power rankings, which is what this thread is about. Having lost 10 of 11 games, many by 30+, i'm surprised that they ranked us above 6 other teams.
