With all this talk about contending and what place we'll finish, I just want to take a moment to look around and see what appears to be very likely... we're gonna make the fuckin playoffs!!! The Suns are sliding. The Jazz are beat up. This isn't going to be as close a contest down the stretch as we thought it might be earlier in the season. We're gonna do this! Go Blazers!!
I think we'll make the playoffs, but we need to learn how to win on the road consistently if we hope to be able to make any noise in the postseason
Yeah, it's an improvement, but do you think we're ready to go on the road and win in the playoffs? I'm not so sure.
Nobody is sure. That's why making the playoffs should be the goal right now, as both you and I have posted.
let's hope we don't get matched up against Dallas, Phoenix, San Antonio, Lakers or Hornets....oh wait....we probably will. Dang....
I don't think we have a shot to catch Denver, SA or LA... but I think we can get the #4 seed. I see us 4-6 right now... Portland, NO and Houston will fight it out. Dallas and Utah worry me though. I think Dallas is better than us, and a healthy Utah scares me. We just gotta keep winning games.
I can envision a first-round playoff series as having the No. 5 through 8 seed, and getting completely blown out in Game 1 because we're so nervous, Game 2 will be closer but we'll go down 2-0. We win the next two at home, and from there on, who knows.. And unless Phoenix AND Utah go on tremendous streaks in the second half of the season, I think we'll make it. The Suns seem to be freefalling a bit at the moment and they have a hell of a tough schedule over the next two months.
