He looks shorter, I wonder if they cut some of his leg off to speed up the healing?

I just hope he plays it smart. You know he wants to get back, but he's gotta not push it. Hope he listens to his doctor, and that his doctor wasn't Oden's doctor.

His avatar has him in a Blazers jersey. I don't care what Boston fans think, Wes is staying in Rip City.

Yeah, but his picture has him bare-chested, indicating that he's removed the Portland jersey. The symbolism is clear.

With one leg shorter than the other he should be able to rotate better

He needs to be ready for July. Remember when he was our starter for a season, then he played in Summer League? Then the next summer they had to, like, bar him from showing up.

I know he's an athlete in his prime, and he has infinite resources and help to rehab, but damn that seems fast to get back by August. It's not a competition, Wes. I ruptured my achilles almost 3 years ago, and even after the boot came off I felt a long ways away from feeling like I could play ball again. My doctor told me not to think about it until a year from the rupture, but even after that year passed, it took me a couple more months before I thought I could. Now I'm back to playing a couple times a week without any worries...but I definitely lost a step or two. Turning 38 might have something to do with that too. :)

Hope Wes does make a full recovery and is back in action this fall (for us!). At least he won't have to play huge minutes now that we have a solid backup in CJ!

Ant, you still have a 3-leg advantage over your YMCA opponent.
