A new era for West Ham got off to the perfect start, albeit with a nervy victory over Sheffield United.

Fresh from his takeover, Eggert Magnusson was given a rousing reception at Upton Park before kick-off.

And the Icelander was on his feet applauding when Hayden Mullins headed the Hammers in front on 36 minutes.

But the hosts had to hang on in the second half and substitute Christian Nade wasted two good chances before the Blades had a goal disallowed.

Give your thoughts on the match.
