<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Guard Delonte West, acquired from Boston as part of the Ray Allen trade, feels that his time with the Sonics may be nearing an end. "All of my stuff in my apartment in Seattle is still packed up," he said. "I haven't even unpacked my stuff. I still got a month-to-month efficiency here. It's still in bags." While he hasn't complained about his role and he hasn't asked for a trade, West says he is unsure of his future with the team, according to the Seattle Times. "I haven't necessarily been welcomed with open arms," he said. "I thought they would tell me to go to the D-League with [Mickael] Gelabale. I'm not even getting in the rotation in practice."</div> Source Delonte should be playing more, he's a very solid player. They have too many guards, someone needs to go by the trading deadline. Worst case scenario, Delonte doesn't get traded by February 21 and he signs with another team via free agency this summer. I think a place like Cleveland or Miami would be a great fit for him - wouldn't have to focus so much on running the team, but focus more on hitting open shots off the creation of LeBron or Wade. Keep your head high, D-West.
He's quit on this team he doesn't deserve anything. I do like Delonte and I was surprised at the way he's been acting, but he's been a disaster on the court. He's a ball hog and turnover machine, two things PJ isn't going to stand for. There was a recent article the vets are mad with Durant's shot selection and PJ is losing his vets. I think the organization needs to start weeding out the disgruntled vets on the squad and continue their rebuilding process with Durant/Green. They need to bring in some vets who are willing to nurture these two guys and not get frustrated with lack of PT or plays called for them.
