You have some weird stuff going on there after the top 7. My Take: 1. Lakers 2. Rockets 3. Spurs 4. Hornets 5. Jazz 6. Trail Blazers 7. Mavericks 8. Suns 9. Kings 10. Clippers 11. Nuggets 12. Warriors 13. Grizzlies 14. Timberwolves 15. Thunder

I've learned that if you predict everything as it should happen on paper, you fail. See my exact reasons in my NBA General thread.
Well I already posted this but here ya go: 1. Lakers- Way too many offensive options and will be in the top 10 in defense with the return of Bynum. 2. Jazz- Methodical as hell. They will address their woes of playing on the road and play very business like. Boring yet very good. 3. Hornets- Will have a hangover from last season. Peja will not play a full season. Eveything went way too perfect for them last year, but they are still a great team. Was 4 in my last prediction. 4. Spurs- Losing Ginobili hurts but I think they will do decent but not great without him. Spurs are still a top team in the NBA when it comes to the playoffs, but they are injured and dont place a huge emphasis on the regular season. Was 5 in my last prediction. 5. Rockets- Injuries, injuries, injuries...I know it sounds like an easy way out to discount them but its gonna be true. Tmac already said he needs surgery on his shoulder plus he has some other nagging injury (i forgot what). Yao is great, but he is a 7 footer with foot problems...no good. Artest could be feast or famine. If they can be lucky enough to get it together health wise for the playoffs then watch out. Was 3 in my last prediction. 6. Mavericks- On their way down regardless of a coaching change. Kidd is too old...just a dysfunctional team with talent. Wont go far. 7. Blazers- For sure coming up in the world but patience in necessary. Quality core of players that need time to play with each other. Oden and Fernandez while great prospects need at least a year to make a serious impact in the NBA. 8. Clippers- With all the craziness that surrounded the Clips this offseason they came out pretty good. Baron at the point, Camby at PF, Kamen at C, and Al Thorton with a year under his belt will be enough to slide them into the 8th spot. 9.Suns 10.Nuggets 11.Warriors 12.Kings 13 Wolves 14. Thunder
I just don't see the Jazz being that effective in the West. Deron and Boozer is not a good enough duo to lean on for that many wins. Maybe if Okur and AK return to form, but I don't see it. They still lack quality swingmen.
I'd put a million dollars on this: 1. Portland 2. San Antonio 3. Houston 4. Phoenix (Go TP!) 5. L.A. Lakers 6. New Orleans 7. Utah 8. Dallas 9. Minnesota 10. L.A. Clippers 11. Denver 12. Sacramento 13. Golden State 14. Memphis 15. Oklahoma City Book it.
I will too...eff..I am a die-hard, but not even I see 1st place or the Wolves 9th..or the Lakers that low
They will...If it was one game then the Suns are better...barley, but the season isnt one game. Injuries, new players, and a new coach is gonna mess with them
Speaking of Suns, I was just thinking about how unfortunate it has been for Steve Nash. He should've gone to the Finals in 05 & 06 but Joe Johnson was hurt in 05 and Amare was out in 06. Due to these injuries, he was never able to get to the final round and probably never will now.
