Well, today was quite the day, and I must share.So, if you don't know already, my friend is 21-years old and owns two stores here in the Houston area (they are his... he owns them himself and started from scratch). His stores mostly carry urbanwear, cell phones, shoes, etc., and one of them is located in a somewhat ghetto area (for you Houstonians, it's on Wilcrest... a little past the Bissonnet intersection).So anyway, I work for him (pretty chill place). Tomorrow we're going to be playing in a basketball tournament, so we were about to close the store up early and go practice with our team when all of a sudden a guy runs in, shoots my boy in the leg, and proceeds to rob the store. He grabbed a customer who he apparently thought worked there, and started dragging him around the store telling him to pick up some stuff for him. He was a pretty big dumbass too... all he ended up taking was two pairs of Air Forces, and a few shirts. He tried to open the register but we acted like it wouldn't open, so the dude just jacked the whole register. He'll find that there isn't anything in the register because we had already collected the cash from it and put it in my car for me to deposit in the morning.Anyway, while all this is happening, my other friend sneaks into the back and calls the cops, and he told me that the cops were being assholes and putting him on hold and everything. Then, my other friend had gone to buy something from the store and he came back in the middle of the whole thing. He didn't know what the hell was going on, and then when he saw the dude with the gun he was like "Please! Let me out of here!"... then when he obviously couldn't leave, he just ran and hid under a table in the back. The cops eventually showed up 30 to 45 minutes later, and weren't much of a help. The funny thing though was that they found my friend who hid under the table, and started laughing at him (he's like 27).So, later we learned that my friend's sister (the friend who owns the store) works at the 24-hour fitness just down the street, and they had been robbed 30-minutes earlier and the guy took their register too. The descriptions matched so it was the same guy. Hopefully they find him, but we didn't take too much of a financial hit... the only thing that sucked was that my friend got shot in the leg.EDIT: Oh yeah, we had a shotgun in the back, but one of my other idiot friends decided to shoot it off in the back of the store yesterday and wasted the ammo. One of my co-workers has a gun but he was on his honeymoon, so yeah, that didn't help.
Ah, damn that sucks, he got shot? Hmm, interesting that the cops arrived 40 minutes later lol. It's interesting that someone wouldnt ask where hte money was if it wasn't the cashier if they wanted to rob you. What an idiot.

That's crazy, One time my moms store she used to own got robbed. They had guns and told her to take them to the safe, She said she didn't know the combination (Which she didn't) and they went crazy on her. Finally, The alarm wet off and they scattered.
f*cking police always never show when you need them too... hope ur friends leg gets back to at least 90%

Thanks guys... yeah my friend is doing alright, nothing serious as of right now. He might have some muscle damage in his calf, but other than that he should be fine.

it sucks though, that the police took that long to come, ive had an experience somewhat like that before. once, robbers got into my backyard and started stealing a whole bunch of crap, the dog was barking but was tied up at the time, so my mom went to see what was going on, when she saw the dudes, she ran back inside and called the cops, telling them that they were still there and everything.cops came the next day....

Wow, that is crazy. I've never had a gun pointed at me, and I don't ever expect to have one pointed at me as well. Yeah, I would have pissed my pants too. That is pretty scary. Wow, that sucks that the police were late. Probably stopped at a donut's shop
