even though we lost, he really stepped up today (or maybe monty finally gave him minutes) and showed that he deserves more minutes.
Ike "stepped up" in that he's learning to not get shafted with "rookie" fouls. He's had those scoring skills all along,but needed the ball and some game time. Worth note....KG,Lebron,+ Kobe each scored under 25 tonight. That gives some extra perspective as Ike had to get past Big Ben,did it off the bench,wasn't getting the and-one FT's he'd have if he was a veteran. I think tonight showed why Ike Spike >Marcus Fizer,etc.
Now will Monty finally play him and use him to his advantage? The guy is the only one that can catch BDiddy's passes inside. Stonehands can't, and Murphy just sits at the top of the arc.
I think Ike would be fine playing C on offense but on defense, he will get murdered... I'd still rather see him start than Foyle though. I guess we could live with Murphy at C and Ike at PF for a while.
