Madden has become just stupid. i mean i was looking at the Madden site and the game isnt a football game anymore its become more of a unofficial buisness like the NFL

    i mean look

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>New Storyline Central ? Get inside the NFL like you never have. Now your games are impacted by the stories that surround your team. Satisfy your star WR?s demands or watch your team chemistry suffer. Get the scoop from local and national newspapers, email from assistant coaches, and Tony Bruno?s weekly radio talk show.</div>

    and

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Players now react to everything that happens in the franchise?reward a hard-working player by naming him team captain or trade away unhappy players. The new game-by-game progression system rewards players for their performance during the season.</div>

i think last years game was its best, and the only changes they should have made was to improve the graphics, and insert Franchise Tags Tran. tags etc. and maybe make the contracts more reasonable.

now the game has gone to far and i think the only thing that will make me buy 2005 is that it has better graphics and harder hits. madden has become a joke IMO

    besides who is tony bruno?

Tony Bruno is a nationally syndicated sportstalk radio host...and a pretty good one(Tony Kornheiser was the best ever).....I love any extra detail they put into the game, and I will keep buying the game if possible(my PS2 is at sony right now, if they can repair it, im back in business) until they put out a really bad edition.....its been my personal experience that Madden is best in odd numbered years(99, 01, 03, and hopefully 05), but last years version was fantastic....Im really looking forward to the new one, even more so after these details you have mentioned.....#1 thing I would like to see added to the game? the ability to play online as a team....BF1 and I would love to smoke some fools online if the new games accomodates....

oo im getting it to, but i just hate what theyve done to it making it less football.

maybe when i get it my opinion will change but i still think its gonna eventually kill the franchise

I hope they expanded the playbook, anything less than 1000 plays in a playbook sux [IMG] Also, on a personal note, i plan to break my personel best interception total on 2005, 39 interceptions a season is simply not enough i am going for 50 [IMG]

Man...I'm outdated. I'm still playing 2002. Time to upgrade (maybe I'll splurge and go with 03). [IMG]

I buy the game very other year. I think it's a waste of money to buy essentially the same game every year. I have a 2003, so this year I get 2005. TO and the Eagles are gonna be awesome in that game.

Well Dawk, i practiced a lot, then a lot more, then i practiced a whole heck of a lot more, then i stopped playing the run at all, i stayed back from line of scrimmage, stand in the same spot(basically take one or steps back and toward sideline, and then wait for qb to throw ball and i break on it. Made over 100 tackles and 28 picks one season and 80 tackles and 39 picks the next season. I had a fast safety(90 speed) but key was 99 agi and acceleration. I had 80 catch and still dropped 40 interceptions.

it helps that BF1 and I play safety together, him at FS and me at SS....we are completely different players and it helps us....I play close to the line of scrimmage and run support a lot more than he does, which is why my best season is around 150 tackles and 13 picks....BF1 plays back farther and is a complete ball hawk, he gets his hands on more leather than Pam Anderson's boyfriend.....BFs technique is truly revelutionary, he literaly lines up in perfect position and takes away half the routes without moving, and because hes not taking false steps, it allows him to turn his hips and explode deep if the WR goes deep....I cant stand still....I have to be active to be comfortable....because of our styles, I make more plays, but he makes big plays....tons of big plays.....I believe our styles help each other as much as they help ourselves....

I have to by the game every year purely for the updated rosters and any new features are a bonus. As for interceptions my most is around yours beef 15-16 I think but If i had someone to play run support I could grab 20 in my sleep.

BF1, what saftey do you use with 99 speed and acccel? A created guy or like 5 years deep your man got that good?

i drafted safety that game randomly generated. his speed is only 89, his accel and agility are 99. His name is schultz from Brown University. It also helps he is 6'4" tall and can leap out the stadium [IMG] When i drafted him he was an 84 and i played him up to a 99.

I average around 50 ints a season, i play a lot of dime-cover2, Almost every year all my CBs and atleast one of my safeties goes to the pro-bowl, I have very good run support also, 1st in the league, I have an amazing D-line, they are all big guys, my left end usually averages around 2o sacks per season, he is awesome

Madden goes online with x box and Im pumped i was actually thinking of putting a league togeither with all users on x box online, where we play a season game 1 day a day week. Each person gets there team and plays a season all the way to the playoffs and vise versa. Course my team would be tampa. Anyone on x box live?

I have X-box but don't have the X-box online. I'd be intrested in getting it though for something like that but I know nothing about it or what I would need to use it. If I have digital cable can I run it right through that or does it have to be hooked up to a computer? I have a computer but haven't had the time or $ to buy a monitor and get the high speed internet through Comcast.

hey, bucs40, i have xbox live...i am looking forward to getting madden this year...been playing nfl2k3 on gamecube and nflfever 04 on xbox, but have to get the new madden...i could be coerced into joining a league...

pats, xbox live runs directly from your cable modem or dsl connection...you have to have hi-speed internet to connect....but you don't have to run it through your computer...i have my modem connected to a 4-port linksys router which connects to my home network...one of those ports goes to my office where i have a 16-port router which has my ps2, xbox, and mac hooked up to it...

as for the online capabilities of the ps2, i have found it to be quite inferior to xbox...that is hard for me to say, because my computer is a mac and i was trying my best to stay away from microsoft, but i gotta say, they did online console gaming right....sony dropped the ball in my opinion...

as for connecting the ps2, you follow the network setup on the screen and follow the instructions...if that doesn't work, you'll have to ask someone else...and in my opinion (and yes, i have read my own signature), since EA is going online with xbox now, go that route if you can...

You can buy a wireless router from game stop so it can work for your x box as well. Comcast is who i use and im hooked up to my pc upstairs.
i have the wireless router so it works well.

Bacon, pats hope to see ya, i will keep ya posted. Augest 21st i have reservations for madden 2005, so i will be ready when it comes out.
