<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">LOS ANGELES ? Elton Brand earned the NBA's Western Conference player of the week honor last month.

If there was any lingering doubt as to whether the Clippers power forward is playing at the level of an All-Star or even an MVP, it was erased Thursday when Brand was selected as the Western Conference player of the month for November.

It marks the second time in franchise history the Clippers have had a player receive the honor. The other time was 25 years ago when Freeman Williams of the then-San Diego Clippers was selected the player of the month for December.

During the 15 games the Clippers played in November, Brand helped lead them to the best 15-game start in Clippers franchise history. He goes into Saturday's game against Cleveland averaging 23.7 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.7 blocked shots per game. He is shooting 56 percent from the field and is the only NBA player to rank among the league's top10 in points, rebounds and blocked shots.

"Elton is most deserving of this award," Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy said. "He had an incredible month. In addition to his offensive production, his defense has been extremely solid, and his leadership ability continues to grow all the time."

Brand finished the month with a streak of nine consecutive points-rebounds double-doubles. He has 10 double-doubles overall, has scored 20-plus points in 12 games and has scored in double figures in every game.

"I think this is a well-deserved honor," said Elgin Baylor, the Clippers' vice president of basketball operations. "He's simply been sensational."</div>

I love what's happening to the LAC, finally spending some money and it's paying off, plus i love elton. I also love seeing some of these statistics like when they were 3-0 it was their best start in like 10 yrs and now this w/ the player of the month. But for real i hope the clips make the playoffs this year and i think they will

The Clippers do this well is like a dream come true. After watching them loose for so long it feels like its not real watching them win. I'm really excited about this season and I cant wait to see what happens. [IMG]
