No team i like beating more than Phoenix, made even sweeter because it was in Phoenix.

Was interesting to see us go small with Lo not playing. It seemed to work very well but obviously you can't do that every night as most teams have more than one legitimate 4/5 in their rotation.

Well done to Mighty Mouse too for breaking out of his shooting slump tonight. Will add a nice extra dimension if his jumper is dropping (along with his penetration).

6-3 now with away games to Utah and Denver before we finally go home.

    Great start to the year.

I really questioned Stoudamire before this game, but he impressed the hell out of me. He actually reminded me a lot of Jason Williams in this game, especially when he came right down the court towards the end and knocked in a three from about four feet behind the line. Williams used to do that all the time; when he was hot, he'd keep shooting from all over the court until he missed. I think a lot of Stoudamire's performance had to do with the fact that he was playing in front of friends and family who watched him play at the University of Arizona though.

Mike Miller looked like he couldn't miss out there. Every time he was open, it was nothing but net for him. I'm in favor of starting him and Battier, who also had another great performance. I'm not going to complain if Jones is starting at the end of the season, because he's not too shabby himself, but Mike Miller plays better with the starting line.
