these are not baseball players i am watching, they are lumberjacks on steroids with beards... way to go selig!
I'm also not a fan of the look in today's game. Between the beards, the tattoo's & my personal favorite the slightly askewed hats I think its pretty much a disgrace to the game. A uniform should be worn with pride & respect. I'm very glad that the Yankees continue the professionalism of there look & I wish other teams would follow suit.
More teams should have it, its getting out of hand. I can imagine what the older veterans think of the games new stupid fashion statements.
...I don't get the purposely designed "grunge" or unkempt look my many of today's males. I mean why would you go out of your way to mess your hair up to make it look like you just got out of bed? ...not crazy about the full shaggy looking beards, especially in Baseball. And how about the guys nowadays that walk around with a perpetual 3 day stubble?...can't believe any female would enjoy that rubbing up against her.
...to be honest, I had that in mind too when I worded it the way I did. ...it would be akin to a guy getting head from this girl;
BRAVO.. this post hould be in every major newspaper in the country... it ain't about race religion or anything thing else, and f the freedom of expression in this case.... baseball is a clean cut sport! just look how beautiful and magnificent every baseball field is kept in MLB....

I've notice this these past few years. What the fuk happened? Todays young guys' "look": They don't have long hair, but it's intentionally messed up and disheveled. They look like asswholes - especially when they wear a suit and dress formal. They don't have big beards or big mustaches/sideburns ...but they always look like they need a shave. What happened? In ONE generation? At least the hippies/yippies let it ALL HANG OUT! lol
I just can't believe that 90% of the owners are even allowing this to happen. Just set a dress code, "No facial hair" "A mustache but no beard" "Hats worn straight" "no hanging jewelry" "Hair no longer then just over the collar". Just do something, ANYTHING! right now most of these players look like fucking neanderthals. Clean it up guys.
I'm watching the Giants / Nats playoff game & I swear I feel like I'm watching Lumberjacks play. I think everyone except the pitcher on the Nats has a beard. Werth looks like Grizzly Adams followed by Adam LaRoache who looks like he should be wearing a kilt. Just ridiculous.
