So... This comes from Hostile over at CBZ. He has a source. Detroit wanted 2 2nds and Miles Austin. We ended up giving them a 1st, 3rd, and 6th for Roy and a 7th instead. This is interesting, beyond just finding out. But it also should tell you what other teams think of Austin; and what we think of Austin. Austin has 1st round physical talent. But he came from a small school, and was extremely raw. He's finally coming into his own this year. I bring this up... because going forward, I think its pretty clear the trio is going to be Owens, Williams, and Austin. All 6'3" or so, big, fast, and can get up there for a ball.
I'm glad they kept hold of Austin. I agree with you, he's definitely got the physical tools and talent to be a great WR for us, and I think he's definitely part of the long term plans of this team.
He almost scored again last week. Had the OL given Romo an extra second to set his feet, that pass would have more accurate and another Austin TD.
