Kobe for Iverson---Dream or nightmare trade?
    Commentary on possible Kobe-for-Iverson trade

In the August 2002 issue of Philadelphia magazine, Kobe Bryant appears on the cover wearing a retro Sixers uniform. The number on the jersey is 23 which, of course, was what Jellybean Joe--Kobe's father--wore on his shirt during his Philly career. Curiously, 23 was Michael Jordan's number, too, and we all know Kobe's dream has always been to be like Mike.
"Kobe's game is all Philly," said Philadelphia magazine, "because he works his ass off."

    Great Article

But i highly Doubt that the 76er's and the Lakers would embark in a trade of their biggest star's,but it's very intrigring never the less

It would be great for Philly, and horrible for LA.

The toll that Iverson's body has taken from his hardnosed play over his career is tremendous. The guy is 28 years old, and I wouldn't be surprised if he is past his prime.

Kobe is 25 years old, and I doubt that this is his peak. He is such a hardworker, and if all the legal troubles get cleared up, Kobe will be back on top of it.

Yea he's right, it would be beneficial for Philyl and bad for LA, Shaq and Iverson would both be injured so much, how would the team even win any games lol.

The whole Iverson-Kobe Deal will NEVER EVER HAPPEN...It's just talk, and like everybody's been saying Iverson is banged up,and who knows how long he can be an effective player...but Kobe isn't in his prime yet,and within the next 5-6 years,i expect him to be a much better player than what he is currently...so basically it's another Rumour!

I doubt that trade will ever happen. I dont think Iverson would help L.A., he is getting older and his body has taken a beating. If I was Philly I would pull the trigger on that trade.

i really think everybody in this forum is wrong about iverson too "old" and other stuff.wenever we have a subject about iverson, someone HAS to say that hes too old and hes not gonna last another game or something like that.hes only 28, actually 29 for next season and i mean hes gonna avergae +20 for the next 3-4 years, obviosuly.how many injuries has he been thru, about 100 and he still plays.i mite be wrong and everybody else mite be wrong. but who noes iversons body better than himself? he mite feel a lot better in 4 or 5 years than now.yes, he is banged up but u no he plays hard and wont give up that easy.hes not gonna last only 3 more years people. at least 6 years. im not saying that everybody is WRONG, just that the idea of him getting beat up is way too far

I feel that same way, and some do exaggerate about his age. But we have to accept the truth, the injuries are indeed taking a toll on him. I also don't like the fact, that some people would base Allen Iverson future on his performance this season, which is not fair. But nonetheless I still believe that Allen Iverson is in his prime, and will be for another 2 years. But if he did go to the West he would get beat up more than ever. Going against Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, Yao Ming etc... on a daily basis would really hurt him. So for his sake, he should stay a 76er or stay on the East for that matter. As for the trade, Philadelphia would definitely benefit more from it, but it would be exactly "horrible" for L.A.
