At the start of the season, I thought the Mavs would have a tremendous record and have great chances at winning the NBA Finals. It obviously hasn't happened, and I want to hear your opinions on what we need... I say we gotta first get rid of Antoine Walker. Obviously, losing that weight wasn't enough and he can't survive on this team. Players here get limited shots per game and he just will not be a success in this type of system. We also need a center (come to think of it... who doesn't?)... We should try to go after Erick Dampier, Theo Ratliff, or Marcus Camby. We need someone who won't back down to a challenge on the defensive side of the ball instead of focusing mostly on offense. Finally... Fire Don Nelson. He gives us a good offensive gameplan, but this simple fact has been proven over the last few years that we have come up short: You can't win a championship by just trying to outscore your opponent. He has taken the team far, but he hasn't made a big enough effort to try to instill some sort of defensive gameplan. What are your thoughts?

Or Jamsion? I think Walker would fit good in ATL, him and JT could probably be good teamates. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Finally... Fire Don Nelson. I thought he did a good job in Washington devensivenly.

first things is mavs need to get rid of walker, he takes too many shots and he takes touches away from Nowitzki, Finley and Nash they should keep Jamison because he is a very solid bench player and hopefully they can keep Daniels, who, along with Howard will be a very good combination in a couple years the mavs aren't that far off, they just need a solid center/big man to get some rebounds and play defence, offence is already taken care of

Sorry, i dont think the blazers will trade Theo away, but they could do a sign and trade for Eric Dampier or even Macus Camby. They can do a three team trade Walker to Houston, Camby to Dallas, Cato and draft picks to Denver. just a idea.
Hmm, Pat. It would be nice if they could get Theo or Dampier. But if I was a Mavs fan, I would love to have Theo. A shot blocker who doesn't get dunked on 50 times a year like Shawn.
Shawn Bradley is a literal waste of space. I would trade him away while he still has slight worth. He comes into a game, gives/recieves a hard foul, goes after the guy and shoves him, gets T'd up, and then sits for the rest of the game. I can do that job, you dont even have to pay me millions of dollars per.
Camby is not a bad fit, but he may be too skinny too. They need a defensive stopper in the middle and someone who passes the ball. Sabonis from about 6 years ago would be perfect. Man what a passer he was. Anyone like that now?

Get Dampier...play Nowitzki at PF and Jamison in SF..Finley SG...Nash PG those are starters...bench keep Howard and Daniels I don't remember any others right now sorry..but that would be it..
i think this will be a good trade Chandler and fizer for walker and fortson! C= Chandler/Bradley PF=Dirk/Fizer/Najera SF=Jamison/Howard SG=Finley/Daniels PG=Nash/Best/Delk
Most important need, KEEP NASH!!! I do not think Cuban is stupid and Nash knows that there's nothing better for him than staying in Dallas so I am not too worried. The Mavs are one of the funnest teams to watch and I hope it stays that way.
Dampier wants money and seeing that we need to keep Nash AND Daniels. It may not work. Dampier or Ratliff would be the absolute perfect fit for us and as I see it, this might be one of the worst off-seasons for us.
