I remember last year, everytime there was a trade rumor, a lot of people posted that they wanted Farmar to go as part of the deal. I even remember some people going far enough to say that he is overrated, would never amount to anything other than a backup point guard, and that he is only getting this much love because he is a local boy. Even as late as this year, once we signed Javaris, people were still wanting to dish Farmar, saying we no longer needed him. I'm just wondering how you guys feel about him now. I'm not claiming he'll ever be a superstar, but I think he's definately proven himself to be a solid player that we need to hold on to as part of the nucleus of this franchise (along with Bynum and Walton) once Kobe starts going downhill. Thoughts?

He's proven all those people wrong (myself included) so far this season. He's been on a mission this year and I like his aggressive nature on the court. What's also encouraging is his defense is starting to come around the last couple of games.
I hope he can sustain this the entire season.

He's the leader of the second unit, and they have been impressive and the key to our early success. He seems to be enjoying that role and accepts Fisher being ahead of him.
Farmar's minutes will increase I'm sure, but you also have to be careful about burning him out or disrupting the chemistry the Bench Mob Brothers have going.
If the Lakers start losing with Fisher struggling, and Farmar continuing his strong play, then you make that move, but right now the team is functioning like a championship contender.
