As much as I would love the Raiders to make the playoffs, I just don't see it happening. We have a long way to go before we're a playoff team. Our defense just isn't strong enough yet.
Yeah there defense is just not getting it done. Way down in the bottom half of the league and they need to force more turnovers.
They are not a playoff calibur team, they have a good foundation to build on though w/ Moss, Jordan, Gallery etc.. but yeah, especially on defense, they arent ready to compete in the playoffs

The Offense is there in my opinion, Defense needs to be worked on drastically as well as self-control. They cause too many penalties.
There are way too many teams in the AFC even if there defense was good. A lot of teams are emerging in the AFC so it will be tough to earn a spot even in the years to come.
