I personally like it. im sick of seeing 3/4 of the arena empty each game. even more when our games are rarely on national tv. its really does show MOST fans really dont care about the Nets. you can tell fans like in boston and portland cares about their team because They Were There when they had a less than 20 win season. too anyone that knows me, they no that fan support is Very important for me. and i know sports like american football, basketball, and baseball lacks that support. futebol (soccer, my fav sport) is 50x times better when it comes to that and you can see the passion for their club. back to the nets.... the team just traded kidd, its the start of a new era. no more confusing routes to the Swamp ( admit it, another embarassing nickname ) the population of NY is crazy so you know there ARE going to be sold out seats almost every game. imagine seeing THAT on the Yes network or on espn on the weekends. and not only is it just a new arena. its like a city within the city with all the plaza's and towers: http://www.barclayscenter.com/ so do you like the move to Brooklyn ? IF it works out ? any thoughts ?!?!?!?! cmon people at least say something !
Honestly, I think Jersey is a pretty dope place but you're right, attendance does say a lot. I'm not sure if they've explored all options before moving such as playing where the Devils play. I think Brooklyn is great though. It's close by for fans from Jersey (better than say a team moving from Seattle of Okl city).
I'm for it. Brooklyn gets the arena filled, and while I don't need that to legitimize the fan base, I do feel bad for our players who have relatively nothing in terms of court support. I don't want to be the only one yelling N-E-T-S NETS NETS NETS anymore. Oh, and going to Brooklyn gives us our shot at Lebron.
Whatever gets people in the seats. If there was a way to keep the team in New Jersey and fill up seats (Newark?), then I'd love for the Nets to stay in Jersey. On the other hand, I do not mind the move to Brooklyn at all.
get this team out of NJ, it sucks watching GS and other teams have full arenas at playoff time going crazy yet our half full arena and sound machine does nothing. the garden is more filled then our arena and the knicks suck
Personally, I'm pretty numb on the topic as it has been going on for seemingly forever. When the Nets were up for sale, it was talked about and then it became a reality when Ratner's group purchased the Nets. Just get the damn arena built and get the Nets moved.

I just want this thing done. It's such a pain going to IZOD that I hate doing it alone so unless I get some friends to go with me I don't go. But if they move to Brooklyn, I can just hop on a train and I wouldn't mind going to games alone.
I think it sucks they can't play at The Rock. That arena would be great for the NBA, and the NBA would be great for the arena. At the same time, if it's going to get done, I hope it gets done right, meaning I hope the arena is the best in the NBA and blows the fuck out of everything else.
I'm for it but I'm also 8 hours away so it doesn't affect me on those terms. I think Brookyln is a good marketing area that names will want to play for. Not just refering to LeBron James but people in general. Guys like Andrew Bynum and others who have been rumored not wanting to play in New Jersey definately won't have that problem in Brooklyn. I was also reading that it is 50/50 which isn't a very high percentage. If Brooklyn doesn't happen, what are the chances the Nets move into the Rock?
chelsea fan ? go reds !?!? anyway.... like i said in the other post, Brooklyn Nets sounds gangster.steven a will sound more gangster than ever. even those "analysists"
oh. i dont know much about european futebol. im brasilian and i watch the brasilian league. but i know liver pool is in 4th place, and brits are crazy about futebol
well, I'm only 20 minutes away from the IZOD...so, being greedy and selfish as perhaps the question may imply, if they move to Brooklyn it'll take twice as long to get there, if not more. But, of course it would be good for the team. New market, new fans, etc. etc. It'd just suck not to see them in person as much as I've used to my whole life, but that's irrelevant.
ive NEVER been to a game. the trip takes 40-1 hour. i live in NY and the brooklyn is only 20 minutes away. hopefully, ill be there for the opener. and dont forget itll rebuild the whole city. tourism and new fans Will be nets fans. its gonna be great. and have you seen the projected arena plan ? itll easily be the best on the NBA
so much for the jason kidd logo & please explain why someone Wouldnt want this team to go to brooklyn
