If I was a Clippers fan I'd be delighted to have Kerry instead of Q. Kittles is one of the top 10 under-rated players in the NBA. He is consistent all season, great slasher, scorer, and defender. I think he'll fit well in LA with the Clips. How do you LA fans feel about him. And what do you feel Kerry brings to the table that Quentin didn't.
He's very experienced and a very quick veteran. Can shoot well, and knows how to run on the floor too since he was playing previously with J-kidd. He also has great D. His only con would probably being a bit old. He did well for my Nets, i'm just disappointed to see him leave. and yeah, i'd pick Kittles over Q-rich. Plus, you never know now, Richardson might get bent out of shape from Brandy, hahaha.
I wouldnt choose Kittles over Q, because Kittles is older I think 6 years older and he has gone past his prime which Q hasnt. But Kittles is really good it was a win=win situation for the clippers getting Kittles for a second rounder and letting Q walk. If they did the opposite they would still be getting it good. Kittles bring much needed veteran leadership and experience to the Clipper which they dont have much of.
I rather have Kittles, because he seems to fit in and compliment the other players better. Q-Rich is a great individual talent, but I got sick of his poor shot selection and non-existent defense. This was a good move for the Clipps IMO, not to mention a money saver
I'd take Kittles cuase he brings so much to the table. But he brings the biggest weight his age. but alot of players are old. but he clears cap space and is a good talent to compliment that young team and can run with the young bucks as he did with NJ
I'd take Q probably just for youth and athleticism but Kittles is a nice player and should fit in well with the Clips...
I think Kittles is a better match with Maggette, which is the real issue at hand. FWIW, Maggette and Richardson are essentially the same player. Kittles mixes things up with a bit more ballhandling, defense and intercepting balls in the lane. He can finish quite adequately also. QRich may end up a better player, but I like the presence of Kittles on the Clippers roster.
A lot of people and a lot of Clipper fans seem to like Q a lot, but I'd rather have Kittles. Q was a very bad defender, but Kittles is a good defender, good shooter, good leader, and can run the break well. He won't be taking as many shots as Q was taking, giving shots to Brand and Maggette, and he'll play defense. Brand awaits training camp, start of season <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"It did sting," Brand said of Bryant's decision to remain with the Lakers. "Everyone knows Kobe is a great player. I'll definitely miss Q for what he brought to the team in terms of his post-up play and perimeter shooting. "But Kerry Kittles is a great pickup for us. He's been to the Finals. He can shoot and play defense. He's a veteran who has been in the league for a while and knows things, and that's what we need around here to mix with all of these 24- and 25-year-old players that we have." Brand also is excited the Clippers might finally get their own practice facility. Although an official announcement has not been made, the organization apparently has narrowed its choices to two sites. The facility would not be ready until at least September 2005, but once completed the Clippers will conduct their entire operation there, including training camp and practices.</div> It's been long overdue for the Clips to get their own practice facility, maybe the players will be injured less because of this, or maybe the team jut needs new trainers This is why I like Brand, he's gotta be one of the most hardworking players I've seen, and he has such a great work ethic, I hope he can tear it up next year, with Q gone he should be averaging 21 now.
In the west you need more than 2 scorers or top playes to keep up with the pack. If Q had stayed, I would of predicted a better record for the Clippers. However, with the addition of Kittles, their team is more well rounded. You have A future All-Star Point Guard in Livingston, A good defender, shooter, scorer and passer in Kittles, A goto guy in Maggette who thrives by driving to the basket, A coaches dream player, who scores 20 grabs, 10 and block shots, in Brand and a solid Center who is developing in Kaman. Overall, I like the look of the starting lineup, however it will be hard to compete in the West with only 2 big impact players, most teams in the West have 3 or 4 of those guys. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting bhavin:</div><div class="quote_post">Experience, leadership, shooting, defense this guy is a great addition but kinda old.</div> He's 30, and he has lots of years left in him.

His defense is always consistent and he's one of the fastest players in the league. Slasher? Since when? He's never been a slasher, his handling is shaky in that respect. He can do well off the ball, but that's it. But as to choose for next season, I'd choose Kittles. Q just shoots too much and shoots a low percentage. He also makes a lot poor decisions and his defense can get better. However, for the long run, I would choose Q cause he is definitely getting better and he's stronger and better rebounder.
As a clippers fan, I am very upset with them for letting Q go. I would definately take Q over Kittles anyday. Q's best days are still ahead of him and I think he is an allstar waiting to happen. KK was never an all star and will never be an all star IMO.
