I am ecstatic to have an All Star player. I just hope he is healthy and him and Richardson can play well together and get us back into the playoffs.

Great trade for the Hornets, I'm happy Baron is on a team that he can actually do something with, and the Hornets shed cap, and also get Speedy Claxton.

I like the whole Hornets deadline, they cut so much cap, got Speedy Claxton, and got a first round pick. The Golden State trade didn't match how good Baron is, but in their situation, it doesn't matter because they'd have to take a contract to match Baron and they don't want that.

I really like the future of this Hornets franchise

They get rid of two huge contracts in Baron and Mash
Add a very good back-up in Speedy
Robinson's contract off the books this summer
    gain cap space
have a chance at a high pick
JR Smith has a bright future and could be a quailty all-star to help build around
Magloire is still a quailty center that is young enough to be a force inside

Things are looking up in New Orleans.

I think Speedy can be a starting PG if he can stay healthy, he's a tenacios defender, good drive and dish passer, can run the offense, and his only flaw is shooting from the outside, he can hit the mid-range jumper, but not the three.

I wanted him on the Raptors back when he was in Philly, but never happened...

yeah, speedy is great, he is an above average starter at PG, if he was like 2 inches taller he'd be one of the best PG's in the game, he already does so well at his height. also, dont be surprised if he ends the season at around 14.5 ppg and 7.2 assists. its very viable that that happens

Speedy is a great PG but doesnt seem like starting material to me, he's by far the best backup PG but he wont fit here as a starter. With Dickau emerging to be the player he is and JR playing SG speedy is going to have to come off the bench because I dont think Coach Scott wants to put either of the two on the bench. The trades the Hornets struck were good and bad, B-Diddy is worth much more than Speedy and Davis.

    PG - Speedy Claxton
    SG - Dan Dickau
    SF - JR Smith
    PF - Lee Nailon
    C - PJ Brown

    They could do that...
