PG: Damon Stoudamire, Chucky Atkins, Kyle Lowry, Junior Harrington
Wings: Mike Miller, Eddie Jones, Rudy Gay, Dahntay Jones, Brian Cardinal (combo forward)
Bigs: <strike>Pau Gasol</strike>, Stromile Swift, Hakim Warrick (combo forward), Jake Tsakalidis, Alexander Johnson, Lawrence Roberts

What does the rotation look like with Pau Gasol removed for 3-4 months? I mean the guards and wings is going to be the same, but what about the bigs? Stro, Warrick, and Big Jake can't get it done. This team needs to go out and sign a center.. badly.

Right now it looks like the starting big man rotation would look like Swift at the 4 with Jake at the 5, then having Warrick/Cardinal comming in off the bench. Then what? A big man rotation between Swift/Warrick/Tsakalidis/Cardinal. isn't going to cut it at all, especially in the West.

So what exactly is this team going to do? They could go small with Swift at the 5 and Warrick/Cardinal at the 4, then bring Jake with either Warrick or Cardinal off the bench. But I wouldn't do that. I would get out there and try to sign a center, someone that can be servicable until Pau returns. Someone like Michael Olowokandi. He's nothing special, but he has a spot in this league, especially with the NBA's weak class of centers.

Losing Wright was a bigger blow than it seemed, especially now that Pau is out. Unless West goes out and signs/trades for a center, this team is going to have a lot of problems down low.

Probably Stro at the 4 and Jake Tsakalidis at the 5. Their frontcourt will really struggle until Pau gets back. It's more than likely that they will get off to a slow start, and kill their potential playoff chances early.

I dont trust Swift at 4 enough to start him. Just don't like how he has played in the league. I like Warrick, but I just think he won't be consistent enough to start and make an impact. I look at the roster and it worries me that this injury is going to make the Grizzlies miss the playoffs. I don't think they have a choice but to start Swift though. I wouldn't put Cardinal or Roberts as a starter either. I think it might be a different starter every night depending on the matchups and who is hot. If they are playing a big team, Jake and Swift, a smaller running team maybe Warrick and Swift. I don't think Miller, Stoudamire, Jones, and Gay can lead the team without Gasol. They are going to stuggle to score early in the season. Maybe this group will suprise me and score.

if it were up to me4- Warrick5- StromileIts true that both are unproven. However, only time can tell how Warrick turns out, because it also took him awhile to adjust in syracuse. Stromile Swift needs discipline because the talent is defintely there. Just USE IT STRO!
