As of right out the roster is Lillard/McCollum Wes/Crabbe/Barton Nic/Claver LMA/TRob/Freeland RoLo/Leonard/Withey 2 spots left. ~3 to 4 million in cap and a BAE left to spend. I'm guessing they'll go after a 3 and D wing with the cap money and a backup PG with the BAE. That puts the roster at a solid 15 players. Something like Delfino and Telfair.
I still like the idea of Livingston if we want a back up PG. And I wonder what Beno's value is on the market?
Yeah, we made an offer for Dorell Wright. So did OKC. He's a good offensive player and would be a good pick up for the price. For probably the same price there is Corey Brewer. Good defender, but not a good shooter. Hard worker too. Both good candidates @ SF, but what about PG? I think we need another PG to start the season.
I would like to see what CJ can do at the point during summer league because I like the idea of brewer. We can bring in a point guard of CJ struggles Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
I don't get offering Dorrell Wright. We're crowded at swingman, but we have no true (backup) PG. Livingston or Billups. (Mods - feel free to merge the "$4M in capspace" thread I started...)
How are we crowded? Barton and Crabbe can't play SF. The team also sees Claver as more of a stretch 4.
Dorell Wright is a very underrated SF. If we got him and a cheap backup PG, I'd consider this off season a success.
I'd be very happy with Corey Brewer, but can Denver afford to let him go? I guess it depends if they re-sign Iggy.
Claver can certainly play SF, and so can Wes. But you're right - it did say that on the draft "big board", didn't it?
