Drink prices being eight bucks apiece at the Rose Garden I thought I'd go underground and smuggle a little sumpthin into the game with me. Thinking of Blazers games and an occaisional afternoon winter steelhead fishing I went out and bought a flask today. Tonight I'm going traditional and filling it up with Jack Daniels whiskey. Good by itself, or dumped into a coke. If you just bought a flask, what beverage would you put in it?
I bring a flask of Vodka to every Blazers home game. It's the only way to roll. Buy a sprite, walk out to the smoking section, pour out 1/4 of the sprite, add the vodka, and bam. I'm set for the game. The people that sit next to me must think it's peculiar how "wild" I get off Rose Garden soda. Haha!
Jack Daniels? Eff that. If I'm bringing something just to sip on straight its gotta be some Black Label. Maybe Wild Turkey. Jager is an underrated flask drink. Vodka is terrible out of a flask but it will mix with anything. Now that I've thought about it I don't think I've ever brought a flask to a basketball game. One of the few public events that I haven't had a concealed container of alcohol at.
Well, I had the ideas liquor, flask, blazer game bouncing through my head and happened to be driving right by a liquor store on Denver Avenue. So I stopped and the flasks were twenty five bucks. Except they had a Jack Daniels gift set where you got the flask free if you bought a half gallon of Jack. So I made an impulse by and copped the Jack. Also worthy of note the other two flasks they sold only held five ounces and the Jack Daniels one holds six.
Oh, that's a good call. Those gift set things are awesome though. I just got a jager one that came with two double-shot shot glasses with the Jager symbol on it. I used to work at longs and just got to take the glasses, shot glasses, shakers, flasks, etc. Lots of cool stuff. BTW Target has flasks that are pretty cheap, pretty fuggin big, and pretty good quality. I bet they have plastic ones too.
if you're planning to mix, it doesn't really matter. whiskey, rum, vodka, whatever. it all mixes well with something they should sell at the game. if you're planning to just go straight from the flask, jack would probably be a good choice.
MAD DOG!!!! Honestly though, I'd invest in concentrated (dry; non-aqeuous) ethanol. What's the point if you're not going all out.
