Who should the Nuggets get this year or at least who would fit in best this season? I think Mike Miller would fit in quite well, there. Not a huge contract. Not the best caliber player but, deffinately is a strong player. Don't know much about his defensive game though.
They need a good shooter. Someone like Kyle Korver or Ray Allen. I am not saying they can or would get them, I am just saying that they would be a good guard for the Nuggets.
Ray Allen. haha dont make me laugh. All they need is a guy who can score. There aren't any good guards via free agency so the Nuggets might have to pull a trade with Kenyon Martin and maybe a future pick and go ahead and just get a 2nd option to Carmelo. It is evident that they need someone who can step up offensively when Carmelo is cold.

All they need is a role player at SG, earlier in the season, I believe, I heard rumors that the Nuggets were trying to get Mobley. He would be perfect for them, great shooting from 3, okay post-up player, and plays decent defense. He would be sort of like Greg Buckner, except with more offensive skills. Same size as well. Now that Mobley aint going anywhere, might as well try to get a shooter from the draft. Maybe Mike Gansey? He might be undersized for a SG, but has the shooting range, and size doesnt really matter these days. Guys like Elton Brand and Dwyane Wade are just proving everybody wrong.
I am still laughing at the thought of them paying for Ray Allen and Carmelo's new contract. LOL. Are you guys serious?
Buckner's gone and the search for a shooter continues...btw i think we should give DerMarr more minutes... :g:
They should pursue DeShawn Stephenson definatel. If not, they are pretty much screwed, and they'd have to get someone like Flip Murray to start for them..
I guess. But would you rather Flip Murray? There arent many FA SG's who can shoot out there anymore..
Yeah I definitely agree on Mike Miller. He's almost perfect for Denver because he is an excellent shooter, he hits big shots, and he does more than just hit a 3. I also agree with nba dogmatist for saying Quentin Richardson. He's athletic and he is a good outside shooter. But another guy I would like to add - Hedo Turkoglu. He is like Mike Miller basically, except he is taller and uglier haha. But in all seriousness, Turk is a pretty good player, somewhat consistant, a good scorer and shooter, and gives his all every night.
Hedo is 6"10 and slow. He is a SF, Celticballa...Mike Miller would be good for the Nuggets, but I dont think the Grizzlies would be interested in trading him. He's a great player offensively. He has a very good shot, and he shoots 50%. He is a coaches dream offensively. After trading Battier, I dont think they will trade Miller..Q Rich is probably available though. There is probably some trade talks going down between NYK and Denver for a potential Q Rich-KMart type trade in the works..
He is 6"10, and not quick enough to play the 2. He is a 3, and wont be able to play Guard for the Nuggets..
He doesn't have to play the 2. He could play the 3 as a back-up, or Melo could move to the 2 temporarily. It won't hurt them too bad defensively, bc, well, they weren't that good on defense to begin with. plus, Melo would play better against smaller guards.
