when a team needs all the wins it can get, especially when in a slide, i find it inexcusable to lose at home against toronto, especially when carter gets hurt in the first quarter. these are games that the hornets must win if they ever want to make a serious run at the east. also, from what i hear in the game recap traylor was a big goat in the game, two dropped passes late and then missing two point blank shots at the end, just wondering if that's accurate or not.

Well, the Raptors started with three star type players to New Orleans' one. I don't think Baron could take Vince Carter, Jalen Rose, and Donyell Marshall by himself, even when Vince went out after 7 minutes.

And speaking of Baron, he had an off night. He didn't make 10 points until late in OT, and he didn't make any three point attempts - and he took seven. Only good thing about his night were his three blocks.

    They need Mash back.

Does anyone else have a problem with the fact that the final score was 78-74....in OT! Neither of these teams are elite defensively, players need to learn how to shoot.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. Outside of the three, no one on the Raptors really scores, and without Vince, 20 points just disappeared.

And B. Diddy is the only scorer that's healthy in New Orleans, and he was having an off night, too...

well, both the raptors and the hornets are top 10 in ppg allowed, and the raptors are 4th in opponent fg%...hornets lead the league in steals....they both had a terrible time shooting today, but you can't overlook their defense either.

Ouch, what a rough game for the Hornets. I agree with Wolfman that this loss was inexcusable for the team nonetheless. I wouldn't say the Jalen Rose and Donyell Marshall are exactly overpowering stars in the face of the Hornets, a superior team even without Mash.

But Baron did have a huge off game, and i think its an indicator that he's getting physically drained from having to carry this team almost single handedly. He really can use Mash, the entire team can, really.

Well, Donyell is a decent scorer and a monster on the boards, and J. Rose can score (and did so tonight) and make that perfect pass.

But yeah, I guess B. Diddy's arm finally fell off.
