Rudy Fernandez was one of the most entertaining players in the league. I rmeeber he was a sharp shooter and a athletic player. But what happened to his career since he's not in the NBA!! This video below I found gives a good explanation:
I think things started going downhill for him after he humiliated himself by competing the slam dunk contest.
Really? I thought he performed decently, just that the idiots on TNT (Kenny Smith and Reggie Miller in particular) didn't know anything about the players not black.
What career? The guy was a streaky bench player for us and then went back to Euro ball when he realized that he wasn't good enough to get consistent playing time in the league. It's almost like asking "what happened to Victor Claver's career?"
Rudy was a very good player until he injured his back. He was one of the NBAs better bench players his rookie season.
1. GO figure a Laker fuck it up... 2. did Reggie really say he could dunk better? 3. Still say fuck Reggie and Kenny for talking shit about him and the whole "Martin? Where's Gina" shit. Yeah, it might've been an obscure reference, but it was still insulting. Especially when they continued it *after* Kevin Harlen pointed out that he was the first Spanish player to play in the NBA and that he died.
