I would have to go with the way Lebron James has played so far. His numbers will probably go down, but he has proved many people wrong. Rashard Lewis hitting 50, Denvers play, and Zach Randolph have all suprised me as well.

I have been impressed and happy that Stephen Jackson has been a success so far in Atlanta He has replaced Glenn Robinson very well.. Averaging 18.3 points per game on 46% shooting..along with 36% from three-point land... Lebron has been a surprise as well...I never expected to see him put up the numbers he has done so far Denver beating Spurs and the Kings was very impressive The Magic's poor start is a surprise to me as well The way the Bucks have started has been a surprise....Taking the Wolves close and beating the Pacers on the road then destroying the Bulls by 30...
Pleasent suprise is that antoine is not jacking up threes 8 for 17 (47%) tmac is however 23 threes in 4 games (26%) Im suprised with Denvers play, and also Utahs play, i didnt think they had a chance to win 2 games before even the all star break.. If they can get ostertag to rebound and stevenson and Matt harpring to score, they can do some damage
how about Glove and Karl doing well with the Lakers? that's quite a surprise...considering that many people (including me) thought that one ball wouldn't be enough for them...hehehe
I would have to say the biggest surprise is Vin Baker. Nobody thought he would be able to overcome his drinking problem and get back to his old form but he did just that and proved many critics wrong. Last season I went from saying "I think the Celtics made the worst trade in NBA History" to "Boy, Skinny Vinny, sure does look good in a C's uniform"
The Utah Jazz. They lost 15 years of their past and are winning games. I don't know if it will continue when they play the Lakers, Spurs, Mavs, etc. on a night-to-night basis but as of now they're worth mentioning. LeBron James has also surprised me. I was a big time doubter that he could get the job done right away but he has proved me wrong and is playing extremley good.
This isn't a pleasant suprise, but the way some Magic fans have been acting has suprised me. You cant write off a team after 4 games no matter who they are. Golden State has suprised me a lot. I thought they backtracked when they lost Arenas and Jamison but I think I was proven wrong. They have a good team and positive future with Murphy and Dunleavy Jr.
LeBron and Rashard, Chandler, and how come kwame doesnt take more than 6 shots a game when he should be getting 9-12
Flip Murray, has been given a chance with Ray's injury and has delivered so far, be interesting to see if he can keep up the pace for the 6 weeks Ray is out.
Utah has been a major suprise in the eyes of some. I however find it a suprise, but not that big of one. When you have Jerry Sloan as the coach, the team won't be that bad. Plus you have players that play with alot of hustle, determination, and most importantly heart.
-Jason Hart. I had no idea who he was until the Spurs signed him, and then he goes and gets 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Pretty good for a 3rd string point guard. -Tyson Chandler. Of all the Baby Bulls, there were probably the least expectations on him, and he's currently leading the league in rebounds. -The Bucks. I thought their front court would be non-existant this season, but they're 2nd in the league in rebounds- out rebounding their opponant by nearly 10 boards.
The Bucks, and that they would have beaten the Lakers if not for Dick Bavetta. The Jazz, who the hell is on their team?? AK47, Harpring, nobody knows who else, but they're doing okay.
The Lakers ability to play together and play well together has been nice to see. Everyone who said that they couldn't do it has so far been silenced. And the 4-0 start can help with that also. Umm....the Bulls have been an unpleasant surprise. I expected a lot and gotten very little so far. Utah and Denver playing well have surprised and so has the play of LeBron.
