what if we got redick w/ our 8th pick?would you be happy? would you be sad? bad/good choice?my thinking on this is that if we really did get redick w/ our 8th pick, i would be happy. he'll give us his minutes and his scoring but he probably won't be a HUMUNGOUS impact. i don't think he can become a ROY or anything because he has superstar players like yao ming and tracy mcgrady to take all the shots. maybe if tracy mcgrady was out w/ an injury for a week or something, and redick would have to take a bigger role, taking more shots. i mean, he IS a sniper, and was 28 ppg in college. that is impressive, no matter who you are.YOUR THOUGHTS? :g:
If I was a Rockets fan I would be pissed off. All he can do is shoot and isn't athletic enough to create his own shot.
Redick is overrated, in my opinion. Yeah, he shot the lights out in college and averaged 28 points per game, but he's too short and lacks the athleticism to create his own shot in the NBA. He'll most likely be a Kyle Korver type, but obviously a little bit better. I'd say he averages about 12-17 points a night over his career in the NBA.As for the question about the Rockets picking him, I know I would be pissed if I were them.
Actually, that's what we need him to do -- shoot. But whether it would be too much of a stretch to take him at #8...I don't know.
Don't you guys already have Luther Head as a shooter? I think you guys need a PG/PF more than anything.
I think that Redick and Morrison are both overrated. Redick would be a horrible pick by Houston. Although he can shoot, he's one dimensional. The GM should be fired if he lands Redick. He's the next Trajan Langdon.Rodney Carney could be a nice pick. TMac can more back to shooting guard.Another possibility is either Marcus Williams or Randy Foye, to fill the point guard needs.
^^Just get Brewer cuz he can play both positions. Hes versatile, athletic, a pest on defense and his shot may look ugly but it's not like hes a terrible shooter. He can get that shot in.
