Boone never got injured? When would Lopez have entered the starting lineup? Would the Nets have been playing as well as they are now? Would it affect the other players? Or our offense/defense?
I'm not sure if Lopez would have ended up starting regularly this season. Boone put up some impressive numbers a few times this season, but I do think we would have lost a few games. Specifically, the home game against Hawks where he racked up double digits in points in the 1st quarter. It would have made our offense and defense weaker. Damn, I'm glad Boone got injured lol. What's wrong with him by the way? Any news on when he's returning?
Well, everything happens for a reason. I can't say we'd be better or worse if we had Boone, but I will say that Brook, for the most part, has been great for us. I think it's great that Brook is a legit center and he's been helping us greatly. When Boone comes back, I think he'd be better coming off the bench.
......I said it once I said it twice, I said it three times, shop him (BOONE) before he loses value. I'm sorry but he gets hurt too many times to be considered as a future piece. I'd see if SAC or POR could use an extra big land a SF who can ball or a combo player like a Salmons or how about if the Blazers shop Frye + Webster we can shop back Swift + Boone + a 1st rd. (this is very unlikely but the pick could make Portland take the deal) Another scenerio Miami is shopping said to be shopping Shawn Marion this could be a very positive deal for NJ since Miami will not risk losing him for nothing and they'd want NBA capable bodies in return and expiring contracts.. plus young talent. A deal like Hassell + Simmons + Boone for Shawn Marion could be possible.
