What is it about the SF position on the Warriors that any player can flourish? Donyell Marshall had good games in scoring and rebounding. Antawn Jamison same deal. Dunleavy tonight has 20pts 18reb so far. Cardinal has been playing really well. What is it about Warriors SF being monsters on the boards and scoring pretty well while doing it?

We've never had problems with SF's scoring. It's the man to man defense that our guys struggle with. Jamison was just lazy BTW he was fast enough to play D.

That is a good point. We have been blessed with some good SF's. Dunleavy really showed tonight why he is the future of the Warriors. He did it all tonight, even played decent Defense.

Well he had a tough assignment having to guard Artest and run the show. In the second half he was matched up with Harington and he did a pretty good job of moving his feet and making him take contested jumpers which he missed. When Bender came into the game it created an instant mismatch and Bender used his size against Dunleavy, which he could do little about. Overall Dunleavy played a damn good game. What more can you ask from the guy? Lets just hope he can keep this up and Musselmen gives him more chances to run the show.

What more can I ask? How about bulk up, and improve his defense.

He is pretty much a rookie, not many of them play defense. Give him time.

This game bought him time. But what about the last 6 games?

True, the guy is not as consistent as we would like but remember that he is still a very young player and this is normal. He just had a 20/20 game against the best team in the east. Lets give him a little credit and some time.

LOL why are you just talking about the SF position? I think every position has had players that have flourished under Musselman. Look at the PG position with Arenas, Boykins, and Speedy. And you know what? maybe the reason why Dunleavy had a good game was because he was playing some point guard? Anyone who plays PG for the Warriors usually does good, unless if they just aren't that great like LaRue. Then look at the PF position with Murphy, who was 2nd in MIP last year and Clifford(whose had some good games), Lampley, and Cardinal who have played well. Then look at the center position and the improvements of Dampier and i think Foyle would had done some good stuff if he'd been healthy.

I know MANY people will say it is because of the players, since a lot of people tend to not like Muss. But i think it has a lot to do with Musselman.

Also i LOVE how Musselman keeps issues in-house. And if issues do get out, they usually go away very quickly. You have to like that about Musselman.

    I hope Musselman stays.

Now if we can only get all of these "flourishing" players healthy and on the court all at the same time...

Yeah.. I think all players do well under Musselman and in his offensive system. Every year, we seem to discover a star player that probably wouldn't have even gotten a shot with any other team in the league... Boykins bounced around before coming to GS, and Muss gave him the room to excel. Similarly, Cardinal is doing well, while before the Warriors, no one even knew his name.
