In the last 4 games Perk has averaged:

13.5 ppg, 13.0 rpg, 3.00 apg, 3.50 bpg including a career high 20 rebounds on 3/5 against Detroit..

He was a first round pick in the 2003 draft and came in pretty chubby. It's taken until his 5th year for his body to really be toned out and fined. Keep in mind, he came out of high school and is currently 23 years old. What is his ceiling? Is he always just going to be an 8/6/1.5 guy? Or can he be a double-double threat in his prime? Has he already hit his ceiling? I wanna get the opinions of not just Celtics fans but fans of other teams that have watched Perkins enough to make a fair judgement.

In my opinion I think he won't be a double double threat but can be a 10 points/8 rebounds/1.5 blocks guy. He needs a good power forward like KG or Big Al by his side to be successful. Because he was a 1st round pick I don't really think the way he's playing now is a fluke and I don't think it's because he's motivated by PJ Brown coming in looking for playing time. This guy has been an extremely hard worker ever since he joined the team as a rookie in 2003. It's just the hard work is finally paying off and hes healthy. It also helps that Doc is confident in putting him in at the end of games rather than playing small ball. He can get you big baskets and play tough as nails defense. It's his defense that's going to keep him in the league a long time. His offensive game still needs a ton of polishing but hes taken huge steps on offense. I think he has a bigger ceiling than people think, and will have an even bigger step forward next year.

While I like Perk and am very happy with the way he has played on this home stand, I don't think he's ever going to be much better than he is right now. Will he improve some of the little things, such as when to and when not to put the ball on the floor? He may, but I think Perk pretty much sums up "what you see is what you get." That's not a bad thing, because he's an excellent defender and a great complement to KG, but I wouldn't expect any "breakout years" from the big fella.

never been his biggest fan, but I really do appreciate his b-ball IQ, he's playing within himself and feeding off what the big 3 give him. He's getting open for easy baskets, taking on the roll of defender and rebounder and is being an excellent role player.

his character is really shining through this year IMO.

Some people (cough Causeway, #1AWF and Premier cough) will say I'm the biggest Perkins homer, however, I don't believe he'll get much better than this!

Right now, he's playing out of his mind and better than anyone ever expected him to play.

I'll take it for right now, but I would not be surprised if he goes back to what he was averaging two weeks ago.
