He's 24. He's talents. He's easy shaped. Since his first show in NBA, or even before that, he's been anticipated as the successor of Shaq. However, what he has exhibited us is a totally different style from the most dominant center in the league: very flexible moving steps, accurate free throw and good sense of passing the ball around, though not aggressive as Shaq, he's still so efficient and fabulous on the both ends. Ok, JVG came to Rox and decided to rebuild the team in a conception of YAO-CORE. In order to make it happen, he had to make this big guy more muscular and aggressive, a more replica of Shaq. As a matter of fact however, he ignored that fact that they were not the same type, never would they. As making Yao a slimmer Shaq, why dont make him to be better a YAO? Yao will not be another Shaq, nor anyone else.

I would like him to avoid commiting so many fouls next season because this season was a foulfest and the reason his numbers aren't as high as the should be is because he gets into so muc foul trouble and plays 20 something minutes. Yet despite that he's extremely efficient and can make shots and we've seen some amazing performances from him this season. I'm sick of people trying to make him into Shaq because his style is much different because Shaq is pure brute strength while Yao has other moves that if utilized properly will definately make him deadly.
Hmm.. you brought up a good point backontrack about maybe Yao's gaining more muscle could have limited his own potential and style of play. I havent had a chance to watch Yao occasionally in his rookie and sophomore year so i can't really give a comment on his performance when he was a skinny giant. But judging from the clips that i've seen, it's true that his magical step has lost.. i remember he did the dream shake once during the game and it was fantastic. But then again, his number showed that he's improving while gaining all that muscular body. So i dont know..
I don't know. If he's developed in his own way, chances might be he could score more. Who knows? But I got consoled when I saw his dribbling bhind his back and dunking.
