I guess he won’t be getting another broadcasting gig anytime soon.

Completely stupid thing to say, just not sure if it needed its own thread.

Hmm, I get the push back on being too PC and whatever, but this is just flat out inappropriate language. A failure to understand or see how or why reflects very poorly here.

Until it's something you might be passionate about? Like "Woke" and "Cancel Culture" maybe? The Feminist line speaks volumes.

Shouldn't you always think before you say shit? Especially if your job is talking for a living? What a stupid take. You'd probably be bitching in the 60s, "All this civil rights stuff is really pissing me off."

Didn't Hardaway just come back from sensitivity-type training?

He said some pretty shitty homophobic comments a ways back, but since has seemed to legitimately have learned and changed from that issue.

Longtime baseball broadcaster Jim Kaat caught flak this season for referring to Nestor Cortes as "Nestor the Molester," which was obviously not a good thing to say but kind of excusable given that he's an 84-year old who, in his lifetime, has heard the word 'molest' used as a synonym for aggravate or annoy.

There's really no circumstance where saying someone raped someone else during a broadcast is acceptable. It's not common parlance and not something you'd remotely expect to hear on a broadcast. It's 'locker room talk' at best.

It's actually a lot more common parlance than you might think. Enough so that mediocre comedian Dane Cook even has a bit about its inappropriate usage.

I guess Lestor Hayes would need a new nickname if he played now.

Especially when your JOB is to speak. This is like getting upset that you are being forced to wash your hands before plating a dinner for a customer at a restaurant. Can't stand this cancel culture. Canceling my salmonella and booger hands.

Lester "The Molester" Connor, OSU basketball legend and 1982 Pac 10 Player of the Year, was given that moniker because of his defense.
