Now that they just drafted potentially 2 SF's in the Top 5 does that mean that Shard is on his way out? Will you let him walk or S&T and how realistic do you think him going to Orlando would be? What would you demand from Orlando in a S&T?

Ric Bucher said they plan on resigning him. That would be stupid. I assume they'd want Darko in any sign-and-trade with Orlando.

I don't think Magic would deal Darko, unless it was the absolute last resort and I hope even then the Magic wouldn't deal Darko for Shard. Magic have a ton of cap space in the next 2 seasons that they would be willing to deal with at least next years 1st and probably another future first.

I would think something like a young player(probably JJ/Jameer), remainder of cap space after resigning Darko(estimated around 5-7 mil) plus 2 of Carlos Arroyo/Keyon Dooling/Pat Garrity($4 mil each) expiring deals, with at least 1 first, would at least be an intriguing offer for a team that he is going to walk from anyway.

The only players I wouldn't trade are Dwight, Trevor, and Darko. I know that narrows the quality of our players a lot, but is there anyway that you think we could get a deal done that way if you were gonna lose him anyway?

I don't know. Depends on whether or not Presti wants cap room. I'm assuming he's shooting for two years from now when Wally's deal expires.

If you're not dealing Darko then there really isn't much point talking sign and trade, and if you're re-signing Darko then I'm not sure you could afford Rashard straight out. You can't really say you want an All-Star calibre player in his prime, but take your realistic bargaining chips off the table. Potential caproom/expiring contracts isn't really what we need, and with all due respect, what you've proposed in comparison to the quality of player Lew is, well it's junk.

Richardson going to Charlotte increased our own chances of retaining him or at least getting compensation.
