I just want to hear an outsiders position on this. I dont know if you have Sonics fans here, or Hornets fans (the kind that live in New Orleans) but i kinda want to hear what you those guys and the unbiased obvserver thinks about this.Obviously id like to keep the Hornets, and its going to be hard goign to games next year towards the end of the season knowing that i could be rooting against them next year. So when the Sonics play the Hornets, thats giogn to be pretty interesting for me as well as the other 19,000 in attendance. Its obvious that we deserve a team, but i cant help feel guilty that we are basically trying to steal 1 of 2 teams in our grasps. The only scenario as of now that the least people would get hurt would be the Sonics going to New Orleans and OKC keeping the Hornets. Right now we are stuck in a scenario with 3 cities and only 2 franchises... someone is going to get the short end of the stick. So what is everyone elses thoughts on this?
I think it would be great. The fans and city showed great support for the Hornets last year, and they deserve a team. I would put money that the Sonics will be out of Seattle in a year or two, and I'm glad Oklahoma City natives took over the franchise. Seattle has some loyal fans, just like every other team, but overall that city wasn't very good to the Sonics in the past 5 years. They have lost a lot of money, and it's sad. I enjoy watching that team play, I don't understand why they don't.EDIT: Both Oklahoma City and Las Vegas deserve an NBA franchise.
St. Louis should have a basketball team. Or how about Conneticut? Anyways, OKC would much rather have the Hornets. They just play a more exciting brand of basketball than the Sonics, especially when you have a guy like Chris Paul running the show. At least OKC is getting a team. They have been very supportive of the Hornets, and their games get real freakin' loud.
I would rather like to see the Hornets in New Orleans,New Orleans DOES deserve a team, after all they have been through they deserve that much.

I also have to disagree that New Orleans plays a more exciting brand of basketball than Seattle. Seattle is one of the best fast break teams in the league, and they have 2 all-stars. I think OK City deserves an expansion team, Vegas does not, and Seattle deserves to keep their team. All Seattle needs to draw more fans is an ownership group commited to more than mediocrity, and hopefully they will be. Also, if Seattle does move, there's a high chance that the Blazers move to Seattle. I certainly think Portland is a proven NBA city that deserves a team.
Portland wouldnt move to Seattle unless they rebuilt the arena.... and if they did that the Sonics wouldnt leave in the first place. So i dont understand how that would happen

I hope Oklahoma City keeps the Hornets because they have a nice base there.
