Let's say for instance either Atlanta loses to Carolina on Saturday, or Philly beats Dallas. If either of the two happen, how do you play the last 3 games? Home field is wrapped up and there's nothing to play for. Play Detmer? Start Reno Mahe? I'm actually scared the next few weeks because I'm waiting for Murphy's Law to happen to Philly (see Hollis Thomas). If I'm Reid, I only play the horses until halftime the next two games and sit the final game out. I guess I just wouldn't risk it.

You should play all of your games to win, regardless of the situation. I don't care if it's to "get healthy" or not, it's never good to take a loss. Players need to stay sharp... Getting healthy is what that bye is for in the playoffs.

I'll be interested to see what Reid does. I'm guessing there will be a lot more resting going on in the next few weeks.

Maybe as a change of pace this year, they'll lose before they get to the title game? It's nice to mix things up a bit. [IMG]
