Houston won 4 games faster than we did.

lack of consistent 3rd option to step up. But a main strength of our team this year was multiple guys stepping up on different nights.. we didnt even have that for 4 out of the 6 games this series.

Blazers bench didn't step up and Houston bench did.

    1. Houston's starters matched up extremely well with ours.

    2. Houston's bench outplayed ours. --> No way I would have predicted this.

    3. Nate was outcoached (pretty blatantly) in Games 1 and 3.

    4. Game 1.

Our so-called depth got exposed, but mostly I think Houston had the experience, the matchup advantages, and just wanted it a little more -- let's face it, after six first round exits in a row, the Rockets had that cornered bear look to them.

We spotted them a 1-0 lead before we started playing.

The officials were hyperbiased in our two losses in Houston.

Travis Outlaw thinks Cliff Robinson is a role model.

We tried to avoid contact, the Rockets tried to create contact.

Oden was not a force at all.

    ......

    there are many reasons.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Portland lacked poise. They came out unready for game 1, made a few key mistakes down the stretch of game 3 and threw away game 4 in the fourth quarter.

With no more talent but more experience, I think Portland wins at least two of those three games.

Hopefully, they'll have more experience and talent in future.

Steve Blake's lack of competency (yes, I know he averaged decent numbers KingSpeed)

Luis Scola playing almost on par with LA. We had that thread before the series asking who was the best matchup for POR and by a landslide we said the LA/Scola matchup....we were wrong
