Give me some reasons to what has went wrong with the Wolves this year. I am curious to hear your thoughts. I know we have spent time talking about it at this board.

I think what has went wrong is some of the guys has aged in Sam and Latrell. Latrell wasn't that great last year and he is no better this year. Sam's injury has sort of affected him. Troy has stunk last month.

The centers simply stink. Maddog is trying his best. Why is Ervin not even playing? He played a lot last year, but not so this year. Michael Olowokandi is a joke.

I think the deep roster is not for couple of players. Fred and Trenton is clearly affected by the deep roster as you see them have minimal minutes more than ever.

I know ESPN NBA analysts have been criticizing Flip Saunders. Like those idiots really know what goes on with the Wolves. We know more than the ESPN guys. This is not a coaching thing and I am glad the posters here have not ripped Flip here. He is doing the best he can. I think some of the players have regressed through age or through lack of desire.

Age is a factor with our guys Latrell (34), Sam (35) and EJ (37 - the reason why he isn't playing as much as last season) but it's not the main factor.

Sam, Latrell and Kandi came last year to win a championship, to prove something, they came in with a lot of energy and they proved a lot during the season, but they failed in the playoffs but still got us deep into the playoffs (except Kandi of course). So I think it's partly frustration from last year, frustration that this good season was worth little in the playoffs. So maybe they don't come in games with the energy than last year. Partly this energy is lost because they are older now and had a long last season. Partly I think, they focused on other things and wasted energy (contract issues...). Speaking of contract issues, this effected imho team chemistry, which was great last year and a big factor for winning so many games. The same cannot be sad for this year.

    Basically what you said:

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Timberwolf:</div><div class="quote_post">I think some of the players have regressed through age or through lack of desire.</div>

However, I don't think Sam's injury has effected him that much, henacy always points out that Flip wants him to play different than last year, and I sort of agree with that. Maybe Flip does this because of his injury and his age, I don't know.

Also, Latrell is playing worse than last year, he is still very emotional and I think we need such a player on the court, especially in the final minutes of a close game.

Then, our centers stink, yes they do and I don't know what's going on with Kandi. He's a bust and I think he knows that and is just frustrated. We really need a mentor/tutor for him.

We are too deep at some positions, the rotation of Flip isn't really great at some points during a game but also we are not deep enough at other positions, so we need to make some changes and some trades should be done as well.
