I feel bad for HCP and all the other employees and businesses that are built around the NBA, but I don't feel any empathy for the Players or the Owners. At this point in time, Fuck the NBA.

I will spend my money and time elsewhere. I will watch more NCAA football and Basketball for sure, but I am also planning a trip right now to go back to Asia in March. Right now, even if the sides agree tomorrow, I will not be the strong supporter I once was. Eventually, I expect I will get caught up again in bball, but all this greed and animosity has really turned me away from the NBA.

If I am at all representative of the masses, I think the NBA will really suffer over the next few seasons and both the players and owners will have screwed themselves. Hopefully, I am right.

Getting more sleep. Most Blazer games start at 9:00-9:30 here in Houston, so I have to try and stay up until 11:30-12:00 on work nights, and it is getting harder to do that the older I get.

I love the Blazers, and like watching them play. However, all the players are greedy bastards

If I want to replace basketball with others sports I'll do it by watching more South American soccer and maybe some hockey. Also, I was gonna start teaching myself Russian at some point in the near future, so perhaps I'll have more time for that as well.

Less RipCityTwo.com and more Datalounge.com. What sucks is I'm losing All My Children too till January. I'm gonna try to get into primetime shows. I'm enjoying X Factor and Survivor so far. I'll stick with Terranova for now too.

It's the owners money, their risk, their franchises, they can do what they want. If you don't like ticket prices, don't go.

It's really shocking that in a so-called land of the free those poor exploited owners have been forced at gunpoint to pay these greedy fuckers those outrageous salaries. I'm glad they're finally putting their alligator-skin-clad feet down. Stand tough, billionaires! Don't be bullied ANY MORE!

That's where a lot of people get it wrong, IMO. The owners have made really poor decisions for sure, but in the end, it's still their money and have the right to do what is needed to make a profit. If my company makes bad decisions and doesn't make as big a profit as they feel they needed to, then there could be layoffs, wage freezing, or a cut in benefits. The players have the luxury of a union to protect them of that, but when the contract is up, as it is now, the owners have every right to ask for more money. Just like if the NBA were making a killing, and the players weren't being compensated well, they have the right to strike after the contract is up to demand what is fair

Maybe I'll start a 'Fire Larry Miller & Co.' campaign...

This team is being ran by a bunch of amateurs!

I understand the reality, I just wished that I were not exposed to how much of a business it was, for both the players and the owners, because it takes away something beautiful from the GAME of basketball. If tomorrow, a truce is made and a new CBA is in place, I will still be less enthusiastic about the NBA. I don't really want to get emotionally attached to something that's just business.

Larry Miller hate is old. I played that out over a year ago.

It's all on Paul Allen. He's 100% of the reason why the Blazers are dysfunctional.

Miller is merely another puppet for Allen to dangle out there.

I'll spend more time getting old. There are only so many NBA seasons until I die, and it is sooooo cruel that the owners and players are taking this one from me. You can help. Won't you send your spare change now to boomersneednbaentertainment.com? I'm counting on you. Together we can beat this.

so if the players went on strike for more money, then it would be the greedy owners holding things up?
