With a new commishioner coming in what changes would you like to see? For me I'd start with the following..............

    1) Get rid of the ASG deciding HFA in the world series. Either give it to the league (NL or AL) whose team has the best record or alternate it year to year.

    2) Get rid of "THE HOLD" another dumb stat that no one gives a shit about.

    3) Reinstate Pete Rose for eligibility to the HOF. He belongs there & seriously 25+ years is long enough.

    4) To shorten the game give the pitcher 15 seconds from the time he gets the ball back from the catcher to throw a pitch. They (the league) claim there's currently a 12 second pitch count, BULLSHIT! The next time you watch a game count off from the time the catcher throws it back. You'll hardly EVER see him throw it in less then 20 seconds. And also stop a batter from stepping out of the box after every pitch. A player doesn;t need to adjust his freaking gloves after every pitch, especially if he didn't even swing the bat. Enough already.

    5) A relief pitcher must pitch at least 1 FULL inning to qualify for a save. Pitching to 1 or 2 batters to earn a save is a joke.

Okay, I'm sure you guys have more idea's so I'll hand it off to you.

..IMO, if you get rid rid of the "hold", you might as well get rid of the "save"...otherwise, leave them as they are.

...I do agree on timing the pitchers, which I would imagine, would also reduce the number of batters calling time out and trying to throw the pitcher out of his rhythm.

...as far as Rose, my opinion is the same as it's always been...he should only be allowed into the HOF posthumously.

The save has been around for what 40-50 years? The hold has only been around I'm guessing less then 10. So as had been done for dozens of years you can have the save without the hold.

I can see it now when evaluating a relief pitcher, "Yeah Bill but he had 22 HOLDS last season"

Besides, when ever you look at league leaders you never see a category for HOLDS! I once looked at a box score & 3 different pitchers were credited with holds. Just dumb.

Yep, hate the ASG deciding the HFA....

    no comment on Rose......

Bring back the four division format, post season games are for division winners only, second place is no place, all teams have 162 chances to qualify.

Go back to alternate years for the World Series, it work well till Bud lite fixed it.

Plays at the plate needs to be looked at and fixed. I've seen some crazy lane block bullshit, fix it.

Pitchers and hitters alike should be given time limits to maintain the rhythm of the game.

    I agree with 1, 3, 4, & 5... Indifferent on 2....

I would also add ban chew if Selig doesn't get it done & toughen the stance on PED's with no bias...

HOF for Rose....let the reconciliation begin. Firm guidance that led use prior to ban was within the rules of the game and HOF honors for key figures should not subject to bias. Clemens and Bonds go to cooperstown too.

Until Marvin Miller is inducted into the HOF, I'd shut down all future voting, NO SHIT....or as Red Barber once said of Milller:
"Marvin Miller, along with Babe Ruth and Jackie Robinson, is one of the two or three most important men in baseball history." **

Hey Totus where you been kid? And yes of all the PED scandal guys I'd really have to give a little extra attention & HOF nod to the two you mentioned (Clemens & Bonds). Simply because there careers were already on the path to cooperstown. Granted they got greedy for that additional push toward the later years But I believe Clemens was already 300 bound without the assist & Bonds was 500 / 500 bound before his greed & jealousy of the McGwire & Sosa HR year made him want more. JMO.
